Department Of Pharmacutics
The Department of Pharmaceutics was established in 2007. Teaching coupled with research is the primary activity at the Department. Undergraduate’s students are involved in learning process and avail the extensive resources available in the Department opportunity to be involved in research.
Within the board area of design and development of new drug delivery and conventional dosage forms, the major focus areas include
- Preformulation studies.
- Formulation and development of conventional dosage forms.
- Design and development of new drug delivery systems.
- Drug targeting approaches.
Undergraduate’s students mainly focused on development of new drug delivery system such as liposomes, solid lipid microparticles (SLM), biodegradable parenterals and sustained release formulations for optimizing the treatment of cancer, AIDS, tuberculosis, diabetes and cardiac diseases. The Department has experienced and highly qualified staff members who have been exposed institutions and companies. |
